Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician from England. He was part of One Direction. He is the son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where along with three fellow students, he created his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. The band won in 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to their excellent performance. The musician always had an interest in music but wanted to become a lawyer or physical therapy. In order to provide for the family he took a short time working part-time in a bakery. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the auditions of 2010 to The X Factor. The group was then forced to split up because of this. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he be part of a brand new group, One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group took place in the year 2010, and the five members were supported by Simon Cowell. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell and were the first to sing Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You as well Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were among the top contenders in the contest. However, they finished third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. However, Harry Styles and his group did not win Cowell signed a deal worth 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with the Syco Record label.
